Supporting local families through Home-Start Arun, Worthing & Adur
Following residents’ overwhelming generosity last Christmas, the Council are again asking for your donations to help fundraise for Home-Start Arun, Worthing & Adur‘s local families in our ‘Reverse Father Christmas’ 2024 appeal.
How you can help:
- Donate £10 directly to their ‘Be a Secret Santa’ appeal to ‘give the gift of Christmas to a child in your community’ – https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/27032#!/DonationDetails
- Donate a supermarket gift card to the value of your choice
- New and unwrapped everyday or festive food, toiletries, household goods or gifts for adults and children of all ages can also be donated.
Donations of gift cards and items for donations can be brought to Father Christmas or his elf at:
- Arundel Farmers Market on Saturday 16th November
- Arundel’s Tree Lighting on Friday 29 November
- Arundel Town Hall, 9-1 Mon-Fri, from now until Tuesday 10 December
Home-Start tell us that:
- £10 can provide a gift for a child who might otherwise go without
- £45 can enable their volunteers to give parents practical and emotional support, to ease loneliness over the Festive period, provide presents for all supported children, Christmas food, essentials such as warm clothes/ bedding and spread a bit of Christmas magic for the children.
- £100 can pay for the treat of a ‘Home-Start’ Christmas day out for some of their local families.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping us to help others this Christmas.
