Following a number of years campaigning and lobbying by both residents of the town and Arundel Town Council regarding the parking of motorhomes on Mill Road, we are pleased to share that the Traffic Regulation Order to address this has been agreed and will be implemented in the coming weeks.
THE ORDER RESTRICTS MOTORHOME PARKING FROM 10PM TO 9AM, 7 DAYS A WEEK, ON ANY PART OF MILL ROAD FROM THE MUSEUM TO THE BLACK RABBIT
Motorhomes will be able to park on Mill Road, in unrestricted areas, only between 9am and 10pm. All other vehicles will be able to park as they can today.
Over the coming weeks, West Sussex County Council will be erecting 19 signs on black posts along the currently unrestricted sections between the existing double yellow lines which are to be refreshed. New oak fencing on the layby opposite the Wildfowl Wetlands Trust is also to be installed to protect these signposts as vehicles do reverse in to this area.
Enforcement of this regulation will commence in the weeks following these works and we will update on the detailed timings as soon as these are known
