As part of their 60th anniversary celebrations, Arundel Museum is holding an open weekend on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July 2024, as well as launching an ‘Arundel in the 1960s’ exhibition.
The exhibition features photos, adverts and information about the social scene from the time. In particular, there is information about the Fitzalan Pool, the Garden Association, the WI, Bowling Club and the Arundel Castle Cricket Club.
It is a celebratory year for the Museum as it first opened underneath the Town Hall in 1964! Arundel Town Council was delighted to be able to support the museum with a grant awarded in the 2023/2024 financial year to put towards their plans.
